LIVING WITH LIVING WITH WAR by Paul Solecki listen here
Long ago back when Hank was a kid
His parents moved to Ireland, so that's what he did
So much music around him
He grew up and wrote songs
They were so good I always sang along
But the world is changing, technology is new
The internet, myspace, and mp3's too
And Hank got a website, wrote every last letter
Then he discovered something bigger and better
Hank's living with Living With War
But by now he's forgot what it's forIs it an end to violence
He's for country again
With so many plays that he makes the top ten
So he's writing the emails, he's sending the texts
Telling the world to click on the next
So fire the next bullet, drop the next bomb
Haven't felt this creative since Vietnam
If you seem him in town, he'll make sure to remind you
And Charlie's just hangin' up posters behind you
He's learning a few Neil Young songs each day
Just so when he sings them he can say "By the way,
I've got a song up there, on NeilYoung.com"
And he'll tell all your friends and he'll ring up your mom
And why'd he put it up there?I'm really not sure because "Global America" is not about war
Hank's living with Living With War
But by now he's forgot what it's for
Is it for getting the troops out
And back home alive
With so many clicks that he's in the top five
So he's writing the emails, he's sending the texts
Maybe he'll try skywriting next
So fire the next bullet, drop the next bomb
Haven't felt this creative since Vietnam
Hank's become a new kind of mobile phone spammer
So he can out-chart Paul Solecki and MC Hammer
Hank's living with Living With War
But by now he's forgot what it's for
Is it changing the world
Til' the killing is done
Perhaps he won't rest 'til he makes Number One
So he's writing the emails, sending the texts
Telling the world to click on the next
So fire the next bullet, drop the next bomb
Haven't felt this creative since Vietnam
(The song he sings about, Global America by Hank Wedel, is at #79 this week)
