Hi Gang,
I saw CSNY in Buffalo 8-11-1974 and Cleveland 8-31-1974... Both days were in the top 10 of concerts I ever attended.

Buffalo was at the newly opened Rich Stadium, sunny warm day, great sound and Jesse Colin Young, Santana and CSNY. I attended with 4 lady friends... Great Concert...

Cleveland was at Municipal Stadium, 88,000 people, great sound, Jesse Colin Young, The Band, Santana and CSNY.

Bill Graham who ran the tour was at he very best. Rock and Roll was young, raw and alive.

This was the tour I wish I could experience again, again and again... It took a rap for being the Doom Tour... I disagree... Perhaps some musicians over did it but for those of us in attendance (always sat 20 feet back on Neils side), I was simply blown away. Each concert was recorded in 8-16 or 24 track. Perhaps the archives BD-Live will allow more than one concert to be released. Even most of the audience recordings from this tour sounded good without much echo or distortion. I've tried to archive all of the 1974 concerts from this tour and never get board listening to them. The sound was clear and alive. I was 19 and felt the same...
Peace, Joe…

Bueno, pues a esperar.

Crosby, Stills & Nash Demos

Este tema estaba previsto para el disco debut de Crosby en 1971: "If I Could Only Remember My Name"
  • Demos de tres temas ("Sleep Song," "Be Yourself" and "Chicago.") del álbum debut de Graham Nash de 1971: "Songs For Beginners".

Y se completará con "Marrakesh Express," "You Don't Have To Cry," "Deja Vu," "Singing Call," y "Love The One You're With."

He tenido una vida increíble.

I loved Neil; when The Hollies toured Canada, I’d brought a small record player with me, and the Buffalo Springfield Again album. I’d constantly play “Expecting to Fly” — it was one of the best records I’d ever heard in my life.

La canción era “In the Blink of an Eye”...

NEIL YOUNG DELAYS RETRO BOXSET AND GETS TOAST

The long-awaited Neil Young retrospective has been moved from its Jan 27 release date to an undetermined time in April or May next year. In its place is a new album, Toast, featuring Crazy Horse. It was originally recorded seven years ago and then put on the shelf. What's new is the 5.1 surround mix.

Young told Rolling Stone: "It's amazing listening experience. It was recorded in 5.1. It's a mind blowing record, and I don't think it's a commercial record, but it's great rock and roll, very moody, kind of jazzy.

"It was recorded in the same place where Coltrane was recorded, so there's a lot of heavy stuff in there. All of the live ambiance for everything was all recorded, so the whole thing has got a massive sound about it.

"I want to have a premiere of it that's in a large art gallery with speakers in all four corners of the room, and huge speakers and really spend some time on the acoustics of the room, so you could have two or three hundred people in there that are in the middle of the sweet spot listening to this thing all around."

Yo no digo nada.
Uff!

  • Early Years (1966-1968) / Topanga 1968 / Topanga 2 1969-1970 / Fillmore CD / Topanga 3 1970 / Massey Hall CD / The North Country 1970.

- No, no creo.

Exacto:

"The project, which covers Young's career from 1963-1972, will feature eight audio CDs, two DVDs and a 200-page book of photos and memorabilia.
Massey Hall" and last fall's "Live at the Fillmore East" will be included in the box as bonus discs"
Neil Young Strikes Gold With Archival Release

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

¿No eran 150? El monstruo sigue creciendo.
